Ranji Trophy: Abhimanyu Easwaran Makes 100 On Ground Named After Him

Playing at ‘Abhimanyu Cricket Academy Stadium’ in Dehradun, veteran Bengal opener Abhimanyu Easwaran made a 100 vs hosts Uttarakhand on Day 1 of their Ranji Trophy clash, as per TOI. 

Easwaran was not out on 141 in 238 balls with 12 fours and 1 six with Bengal on 269/3 at stumps. 

He fell for 165 on Day 2.

The stadium was built by Abhimanyu’s father Ranganathan Parameswaran Easwaran. 

Easwaran was born in Dehradun and shifted to Kolkata to pursue his cricket career at the age of just 10. 

The First-Class debut for Bengal came in 2013.

In 2021, Easwaran was a standby player in India’s Test squad for the WTC final vs New Zealand and India’s tour to England. 

But he has not represented India yet.
