Kennedy said he is being held without bond, pending an Aniah’s Law hearing.

“Although the investigation is ongoing and more arrests and/or charges are possible, we do not anticipate any other individuals being charged with murder in this case at this time,” Kennedy explained. “All suspects are in custody.”

As Patch previously reported, police responded the evening of Jan. 28 around 10:24 p.m. at Landmark Apartments, where a single victim was found shot to death.

Investigators at the time said Hall was not a resident of the apartment complex but was visiting friends there.

Kennedy went on to say investigators determined that Hall was allegedly targeted for a robbery and was subsequently shot, with illegal drugs being involved.

“This has been a very complex investigation, and it is still ongoing,” he said on Feb. 15. “The suspects developed have extensive criminal histories and took great pains to obscure their crime, destroy evidence, and elude capture.”

Kennedy then said the investigation was ongoing and that investigators believe that additional individuals have information.

“Citizen involvement was crucial to this case,” he said. “We appreciate the support of the community and want to encourage that support now and in the future.”

Kyandre Grant, 44, is charged with capital murder, with the underlying felony of robbery.

Grant was taken into custody last week by the US Marshall’s Smokey Mountain Regional Task Force and the Shelbyville (Tennessee) Police Department.

Grant’s prior offenses include robbery, domestic violence, and murder dating back to a 1996 murder conviction where he received a 20-year sentence. He remains behind bars without bond.

Rashad Aaron, 31, was charged with felony murder and robbery, with his release revoked on a prior first-degree burglary charge. He was arrested on Feb. 6 and is being held without bond, under Aniah’s Law.

Aaron also has prior offenses including robbery and burglary.

Jamil Prentice, 34, was arrested on Feb. 1 and charged with conspiracy to commit robbery. Prentice was released on $60,000 bond but is back in custody in another county on unrelated charges.
