India’s hopes of finishing 2nd in the WTC table and entering the final got a boost when Australia destroyed South Africa by an innings and 182 runs in the 2nd Test. 

Australia clinched the series and consolidated their top position at the top of the WTC table.

South Africa were pushed down to No. 4.

With a win percentage of 78.57%, Australia are ahead of India with 58.93% while Sri Lanka come in at 3rd spot with 53.33%. 

South Africa’s win percentage dropped to 50%.

Australia have one more Test vs South Africa before facing off in a 4-match Test series vs India which is crucial for the latter.
