Popular Pittsburgh Bar Ending 85-Year Run

PITTSBURGH, PA — It’s an Irish bar, so it is appropriate that it is leaving after St. Patrick’s Day.

After 85 years, McArdle’s Pub on Bingham Street on Pittsburgh’s South Side will close after what undoubtedly be an amazing finish on March 17.

“We have loved serving the community, making memories, and being a place where “everybody knows your name,” a post on the bar’s Facebook page stated. “If you are from Pittsburgh- more than likely you have come across our pub and left with a memory.”

“We hope you have loved spending time with us as much as we have enjoyed you all. Please join us on Sunday, March 17th as our one last hoorah.

“We hope you stop down, have one last Flaming Dr. Pepper, and send us off with a smile. Thank for years of support and dedication. We love you all.”
