New Joliet Restaurant Open Until 4 AM On Weekends: Photos

JOLIET, IL — Who does not like to try free restaurant food in Joliet? Well, next Thursday, you and everyone else can get free complimentary tacos courtesy of Joliet’s newest restaurant. Barrio Taqueria & Cocina just opened on Thursday at 1003 Essington Road, right next door to the Double J Sports Bar on Essington Road.

As part of its grand opening celebration, Barrio Taqueria & Cocina invites everyone to join us on Thursday, April 4th, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. for complimentary tacos. Everyone is entitled to one free taco during this time, while supplies last, the restaurant announced.

Additionally, we are proud to offer a 50 percent lifetime discount to our local first responders as a token of appreciation for their invaluable service and dedication to our community, the business partners announced.

Jorge Cruz, one of the business partners, told Joliet Patch that Barrio wants to be known for offering delicious steak tacos, which are the Asada on the menu.

Barrio is also proud of its Birria Egg Rolls plus the Pasta Poblana.

“All meat is made to order,” the Barrio staff told Joliet Patch at Thursday’s interview. “We’re really known for our steak tacos.”

The owners of Joliet’s newest restaurant operate dine-in restaurants in Westmont and Glenview. The Essington Road location is primarily geared for takeout and delivery, although there are eight stools set up for dining at the restaurant counter.

“We are thrilled to introduce Barrio Taqueria & Cocina to Joliet and to share our love for Mexican cuisine with this vibrant community,” said Jorge Cruz, one of the business partners affiliated with Barrio Taqueria & Cocina. “Our dedication to quality, flavor, and exceptional service remains steadfast, and we eagerly anticipate becoming a cherished culinary destination in Joliet.”

Operating hours will be from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. from Sunday to Thursday, and until 4 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
