Roof Caves In During North Fork House Fire: Fire Chief

SOUTHOLD, NY — A house fire broke Wednesday morning off Main Bayview Road in Southold, police said.

According to Southold Town Police Chief Martin Flatley, the fire, at the corner of Paradise Point Road, broke after 11 a.m. broke out in an unoccupied house and is not considered a criminal event.

Southold Fire Chief Ty Cochuran said a part of the home’s roof caved in during the blaze.

“The Southold Fire Department made a great stop, saving what’s left,” he said.

The Southold Fire Department and neighboring fire departments responded.
