Man Who Stole Vehicle In Haddonfield Has Been Caught: Police

HADDONFIELD, NJ — A man accused of stealing an unlocked vehicle from a Haddonfield parking lot was apprehended Friday in the borough, authorities said.

At 9:40 a.m., Haddonfield police and members of the U.S. Marshal Service responded to Starbucks (214 Kings Hwy. E), where they found the suspect — identified as Saivon Norman.

Norman, 25, of Collingswood, was arrested without incident, officials said.

Police linked Norman to a vehicle stolen Monday night from the Mechanic Street parking lot. The vehicle was left unlocked and later recovered in Philadelphia with the keys inside, according to law enforcement. Read more: Unlocked Vehicle Stolen From Haddonfield: Police

The specific charges against Norman weren’t immediately clear as of this writing. But police said he’ll be “charged accordingly for his involvement in the motor vehicle theft” and placed in the Camden County Correctional Facility.

Police believe he’s connected to “several additional crimes” in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Haddonfield officials have advised the public to lock their cars and remove keys and fobs when exiting their vehicles.
