Hulk Hogan on WWE in-ring return: ‘You never say never’

Hulk Hogan is not ruling out having one more match.

Hogan told Ariel Helwani on Wednesday that Shane McMahon pitched the idea of them wrestling each other at WrestleMania 39. The 69-year-old says he turned down Shane's offer but is open to wrestling at the event next year.

Hogan said:

Shane McMahon called me. He goes, 'You got one more in you, old man?' I said, 'Take it easy with the old man stuff, brother.' I said, 'What do you want to do?' He goes, 'All you got to do is stand in the middle of the ring and I'll come to you.' I said, 'Well, right now my back needs a little more work but that's something we can talk about next year.'

I've always wanted to have a retirement match but right now, I'm not moving around the way I should be so I'm going to keep working, keep training and keeping doing rehab and see where I'm at about six months from now. All I've found out in the wrestling business, brother, is that you never say never.

Hogan continued to say that he's open to the idea of returning to the ring at WrestleMania 40. He noted that the 40-year anniversary of his defeating the Iron Sheik for the WWF title in Madison Square Garden is coming up as well.

Hogan continued:

January 23, 1984, I beat the [Iron] Sheik. That's coming up [next] year, that's the 40th Anniversary. I know Mattel's got a full-court press on products and action figures and stuff. It's the 40th Anniversary, anything's possible, I just never dreamed I would even think about being 70 years old and getting in the type of shape in would take to walk the walk again but like I said, anything's possible.

Hogan also said he's feeling better than he has in a long time thanks to using CBD and moving away from other pain medication. He spoke to TMZ about his health earlier this week.

"As I moved away from that and got into the CBD world, it really changed the game from my sleep to the inflammation, the way my wrists and my joints hurt, across the board, it helped me with my health."

Hogan has also announced he has signed on with Tyson 2.0 to market a brand of CBD similar to Mike Tyson and Ric Flair.

"When I saw what Ric and Mike were doing, I instantly wanted to get on the team because you use CBD for energy, for sleep, for fitness — it just made sense. It's a logical extension of where I already was but this is the safe way to approach things instead of that wild card way of doctor's prescription stuff. It just didn't make sense anymore," Hogan continued.
