New Orleans police have issued an arrest warrant for former UFC star Nate Diaz following an incident over the weekend captured on social media.

Diaz is under suspicion of second degree battery, but is not in custody as of this writing. He has not made a statement as of now.

In the video seen below, Diaz appears to choke out Rodney Peterson, a Logan Paul lookalike, as part of a Saturday night brawl at 2:10 AM on Bourbon Street. Diaz was in town to corner a boxer for an event where he also got into an altercation earlier in the evening.

Police issued the warrant after seeing additional videos of the incident. Peterson suffered a gash on his head after falling on the ground after being choked out. Peterson has one pro boxing fight on his record and has also competed in amateur MMA several times.

Diaz will fight Jake Paul in August in Diaz's boxing debut. He became a free agent last fall after the final fight on his UFC contract.
