Turkish goalkeeper Ahmet Eyup Turkaslan died after the devastating earthquake that struck his homeland, his club Yeni Malatyaspor confirmed, as per Indian Express.
“Our goalkeeper, Ahmet Eyup Turkaslan, lost his life after being under the collapse of the earthquake. Rest in peace,” the club tweeted.
“We will not forget you, beautiful person,” they wrote.
The 28-year-old joined the 2nd division club in 2021 and played six times.

After the 7.8 magnitude quake, the goalkeeper was reported missing on February 6.
On February 7, his lifeless body was discovered in the rubble.
